Overview:

We are combining four GASLIGHT volumes into a single book. These are G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T., Battles by G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T., Adventures and Expeditions by G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T., and To Be Continued... by G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. We are making some corrections and answering some of the recurring questions on the Yahoo group. In addition we are adding new, detailed rules for airships in skirmish games as well as fleet battles involving dozens of ships. We're also revising the vehicle hit charts somewhat. Finally, we're including a new, optional melee execution procedure that speeds up game play but remains consistent with the G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. spirit.

The organization of the rules will be in a Chinese menu system. As G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. players know, we've worked very had to ensure that each of the supplements is consistent with the base rules, allowing players to choose which new elements to include in their games. The Compendium will allow players to easily choose to use the Battles by G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. activation system and hit points from To Be Continued... by G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. with their G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. games if that's whay they choose.

An Email from John McEwan of Reviresco about his very cool balloons got me thinking. I am working on a set of rules for WWI style dogfights involving VSF lighter-than-air craft. The rules are simple, but they will have the added detail of Blood and Swash in addition to the standard set of GASLIGHT mechnics. Each player will control one or two balloons.

At this point, the rules consist only of some draft chart cards that are being used in playtests.
