It didn't take long before people wanted to play those larger, "epic scale" GASLIGHT games with hundred of troops and dozens of vehicles. Rob Beattie ran such a game at Cold Wars 2002. It was quickly obvious that GASLIGHT was not suited for such large battles, and Rob had modified the rules for his convention game. I approached Rob about collaborating on a set of larger-scale GASLIGHT rules.

Battles by GASLIGHT includes some very unique mechanics that allow a card-based system to control a game with twelve-or more players, each controlling nine or ten units.
